For me, nothing beats a Manhattan made with Maker’s:

2 parts Maker’s Mark
1 part sweet vermouth
dash of bitters
Shake with ice and serve over 1 ice cube.

Baker’s yes….

I actually mistakenly ordered a Baker’s at Nihon because it was misunderstood when i said “Makers”.

Ive made a “Kentucky Coffee” with it….that’s an Irish Coffee, but not Irish. And i enjoyed it.

I just feel with bourbons, im a snobby purist….i like how complicated the flavors are…and feel like when you mix it with something, you miss out on alot of the complexity.

Kinda the reason i drink really good coffee black.

Yes, it’s good neat. But i prefer Scotch for that, Glenmorangie. Even the 10 year is good.

But with a drink this good, it would be a shame not to put it in almost anything. Cola is ok, but for a real treat, try it with your favorite root beer. Ginger beer is even better. And for the cold- hot chocolate. For the ultimate though…… Maker’s Mark Root Beer Floats. Yes, they are that good.
